Few steps to brighten the chances of getting PhD admission in USA.
1. Though university says that anyone with bachelors may apply to the program, but in fact the chances of getting admissions are really low if you have not done earlier coursework or research in form of papers, publish in the same field.
2. Ask your recommender's to add that you have research background and you have done so.
3. In your SOP dont mention that you want to work in industry after PhD. Just mention that you want to work as a professor and guide students.or you want to do research.
